(In the foto J.S. with his Busker)
John Smith is a nice person from di Flitwick (UK) who since a few years ago his nephew asked him to build a little busker organ, has become, mainly through Internet, the father of a chain of DIY Busker hobbists all over the world.
It all started with the basic model called "Busker" which still today is the best seller. Then the "Senior 20" followed, a more advanced version of the 20 notes, with superior audio power.
The philosophy on the basis of J.S. designs is that his projects are developed for people who like practical experimentation, to learn the fundamental principles by building their instruments.
As a fact, its constructional plans and descriptions are not completely exhaustive but, supplied along with a VHS video, represent a valid guideline to reach the success by stimulating its own creativity.
Furthermore John has introduced a new model with more advanced performances, the UNIVERSAL 26, a surprising machine with four pipe ranks and one Glockenspiel.
This model utilizes pneumatic valves and has a total of 70 pipes.
Useless to say that on Internet you can find the community of these organ builders hobbists with photos, articles, suggestions and news. One of the most renowned places is www.buskerorgan.com
